Canyon Walls

Broadway style scenic flats with plywood top plate to create shape. All skinned with luan and covered with muslin fabric for a smooth projection surface.

Wall Installation

All standing flats installed using sash and cleat methodology, using custom made cleats made from wooden dowel rod

The stage right section incorporated hanging flats above the cliff rolling unit this section comprised of 4 plywood ribs to maintain shape while in air. This assembly was then attached to the flats with stage hardware

“Cliff” Rolling Unit

Rolling unit that when retracted seamlessly integrated flush with the wall. 1x6 and plywood construction mounted on straight casters using angle iron and UHMW tape as guide rails
